The Royal Academy of Arts has accepted Delara’s (FVI) painting titled “Deforestation’ for both the online exhibition as well as being displayed at RA exhibition. Out of over 33,000 artworks only very few pieces of artwork have been selected by prestigious artists and art professionals. Well done Delara what an amazing achievement.

Form VI had a great time last week on their residential trip to Osmington Bay, Dorset.  Mrs McGreevy and Mrs Smith had a fantastic week with the girls and they were so impressed with their maturity and ‘can do’ attitudes.  The instructors commented on how positive, knowledgeable and polite the were.  They were also impressed by their teamwork and enthusiasm.  Well done girls and welcome back!

The entire school took part in our annual My Marsden March on 12th March 2021.  Despite a few little rain showers everyone waved their flags and enjoyed the fantastic support we received from our local community.

This year was the 10th time that the school took part in the March in memory of Mrs Sallie Lunn one of our teachers who lost her battle to cancer in July 2013. An amazing £3,355 was raised this year and in total £31,234 has been raised over the 10 years.  Thank you to everyone who took part and to everyone who supported us.

The girls had great fun in the snow today. 🙂

We have received the wonderful news that Katy (FIV) and Miriam (FV) have both been selected for the Final of the Independent Schools Association Young Musician of the Year 2021 which this year is a virtual event.  This is a marvellous achievement and we wish them luck submitting their pieces for the Final in February.  In addition, Catherine (FV) who achieved a place in last year’s Final, has a photograph that can be seen currently on the ISA music news part of their website: https://www.isaschools.org.uk/arts/art/isa-young-musician-competition/music.  Seaton House girls are already famous!

We have now received the official report from the Independent Schools Inspectorate and are delighted to confirm that the school has met all the required standards.
