What a wonderful day we had completing our annual Marsden March. Thank you to everyone who supported this event both financially and physically. A special thank you to Ian one of our local residents and ex pupil of the school (70 years ago) who came out of his house to clap our girls! We raised an amazing £3,743.00.
In this month’s ISA Journal, Carl Bates, Headteacher of Seaton House School writes about British trained and educated teachers who have left the UK to work overseas. His first hand experience as a veteran of two spells overseas gives food for thought to those thinking of following in his footsteps and its impact on the UK teaching profession. The article can be downloaded or read here(page 36-37).
What an amazing day the students had last week. For the whole day the pupils flew around the classrooms, getting their passports stamped whilst learning facts about the featured countries. A big thank you to our lovely parents who provided so many of the resources and came into school to talk about their heritage or to do demonstrations. We are already looking forward to doing it all again next year!

About the School
Seaton House School was founded in 1930 and has grown and thrived over the past 90 years. We are a member of ISA, the Independent Schools Association and are regulated by the ISI the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
We are a small, friendly and nurturing school with a keen eye on the academic, sporting and artistic accomplishments of our pupils. We strive to bring out the best each girl can be and celebrate her achievements both at school and in extra-curricular pursuits. Year on year, we are hugely proud of the successes of our Form VI leavers as they embark on their senior school careers. Confident young ladies, well prepared to face new and exciting challenges having benefited from, what we believe to be, simply the best of starts in their education.
