Winning Entry for Michael Rosen’s Funny Food Poetry Competition
Earlier this month, the girls in Forms I, II and III were lucky enough to take part in a special live-streamed poetry workshop, hosted by Michael Rosen, about the inspiration behind some of his work.
The highlight of the workshop, was the announcement of the winners of the Michael Rosen Funny Food Poetry Competition.
Drisana in Form III was the winner of the 5 to 7-year-old category with her poem, ‘The Great Seaton Sausage Escape’.
This is not only a fantastic achievement (there were over 675 entries!) but we also got to hear Michael Rosen reading Drisana’s poem!
We are also very proud of Esme in FIII and Myra in FVI who were both highly commended. Michael Rosen commented on the fact that Seaton House was the only school to be named multiple times during the workshop.
We are so proud of all the pupils that took the time to enter this poetry competition. In our eyes, the girls are all winners and should be very proud of themselves for participating.
