FV & FVI Residential Trip to the Isle of Wight

In March, FV and FVI went on a residential trip to the Isle of Wight.  We had brilliantly sunny weather all week and went for lovely long walks along the beach.  We visited Bembridge Lifeboat Station, Carisbrooke Castle and Monkey Haven.  We had a wonderful time and even managed to fit in a trip to Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on the way home!

Comic Relief – Red Nose Day

Today we supported Comic Relief Day by wearing our red noses and coming to school dressed in red. We did this to help people in this country and abroad who are less fortunate than us. This morning we learned in assembly that it is so important to be kind and to use our talents to help one another. Our pupils have certainly done that today – so far we have raised £223. Thank you everybody.

World Book Day

On Friday 3rd March, Seaton House celebrated World Book Day.  All of our staff and pupils dressed as their favourite character and we had great fun.  Thank you to Love Theatre Arts for coming in and helping us with our performances and to Mrs Payne for organising such a magical day.

House Day

On Friday 10th February we celebrated House Day.  Pupils dressed in their House colours – Red for Lancaster, White for York and Blue for Tudor.  The theme of the day was the Six Nations Rugby Tournament and we made fantastic flags of each country involved.  We had a House General Knowledge Quiz, which was great fun.  Tudor House won the quiz and was presented with the trophy.

World Thinking Day

On Wednesday 22nd February, we celebrated World Thinking Day by inviting our pupils to wear their Guiding uniforms. We had a wonderful array of Rainbows, Brownies and a Beaver to represent Scouting. Our very own Mrs Bolton, Cheam Division Commissioner, led a fascinating assembly of what it is like to be a member of uniformed groups in 2017.  The girls were keen to share their very positive experiences of being a member of Girlguiding – making new friends, being part of a wider family, participating in outdoor activities and getting busy with arts and crafts to name but a few! The girls renewed their Promises and thoroughly recommended Girlguiding to their classmates.

DT and Lego Day

This week our pupils enjoyed a day of DT and Lego. Throughout the day, Junior House and Senior House learned how to construct an entire Lego village – houses, rooftops, roads – the whole infrastructure was there! We are delighted to report there are several budding architects and engineers here at Seaton House.
