Eco Accomplishments

With the warmer weather now getting closer (hopefully!), let’s reflect on some of our recent eco accomplishments:

– Litter picks in school and in our local community

– Setting up food waste recycling using our new Hotbin and using the home-made compost in our gardening club

– Going on a trip (by bus!) to the local garden centre and buying each Form Room their own indoor plants

– Re-designing the nature garden
– Researching insect-friendly plants to plant in our existing flower beds
– Reducing laminating and photocopying in school

– Feeding the birds throughout winter and spring
– Taking part in schemes such as ‘The Big Plastic Count’ and ‘Big Garden Bird Watch’
– Organising WOW week each term to encourage greener travel
