At Seaton House we offer a wide range of clubs and activities that take place either at lunchtime or after school. Some of these clubs are run by members of staff and others involve outside organisations who come into school on a weekly basis to run their activity. A charge is made for attending these clubs and applications to either join or continue with an activity are offered to the girls on a termly basis. The clubs we run vary from year to year depending on their popularity and we are always looking at new and exciting opportunities we think the girls will enjoy.
Some of the clubs we offer:
- Sport Clubs
- Musical Theatre
- Speech and Drama
- Chess Club
- Art and Crafts
- Gardening Club
Seaton House also offers ‘Learn to Ride’ cycling clubs during the year when our younger girls are taught to ride within the confines of our playground and our older girls are given the skills to give them more confidence to cycle on the public highway, culminating in being tested for their Bikeability certificate.
Music plays an important part in the life at Seaton House with specialist lessons from Early Years. Form I girls learn to play the Ocarina and Recorder tuition begins in Form II and continues through to Form VI.
We have a wonderful choir and thriving orchestra made up of girls playing a wide variety of instruments either learnt privately out of school or who are taught by our team of professional peripatetic music teachers who come into school on a weekly basis.
Entry to the School Orchestra for girls in Forms III-VI is by audition.
Our Recorder Consort is open to all girls in Form VI.
Girls are offered the opportunity to learn:
